Flood Watch issued June 9 at 9:50AM EDT until June 10 at 12:00PM EDT by NWS Louisville KY * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of Indiana, including the following area, Jefferson IN and Kentucky, including the following areas, Anderson, Bourbon, Boyle, Casey, Clark KY, Fayette, Franklin, Garrard, Harrison KY, Henry, Jessamine, Lincoln, Madison, Mercer, Nicholas, Scott KY, Trimble and Woodford. * WHEN...Through Wednesday morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Low-water crossings may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Repeated rounds of thunderstorms have produced 3-5 inches across the watch area over the last 24 hours. Additional bouts of heavy rainfall are expected through Wednesday morning that will likely lead to additional flash flooding across the area. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.

Flash Flood Warning issued June 9 at 2:07PM EDT until June 9 at 3:45PM EDT by NWS Louisville KY At 207 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain. Flooding continues in some spots. Between 2 and 4.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.1 to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Emergency management reported. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Lexington, Northland, Chevy Chase, Thoroughbred Acres, Cadentown, U K Arboretum, Bryan Station, Highlands, Meadowthorpe and Cardinal Hill. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you can do so safely and have them relay your report to the National Weather Service in Louisville.

Flood Advisory issued June 9 at 12:42PM EDT until June 9 at 3:00PM EDT by NWS Louisville KY * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...A portion of central Kentucky, including the following counties, Anderson, Bourbon, Clark, Fayette, Franklin, Garrard, Harrison, Jessamine, Madison, Mercer, Nicholas, Scott and Woodford. * WHEN...Until 300 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1242 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1.5 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 1.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Lexington, Richmond, Georgetown, Frankfort, Nicholasville, Winchester, Lawrenceburg, Versailles, Paris and Harrodsburg. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
