In northeast Texas, Anderson, Delta, Henderson, Hopkins, Lamar, Leon, Rains and Van Zandt. In south central Texas, Milam and Robertson. * WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT this evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Rainfall totals of 1 to 3 inches, with isolated higher amounts up to 4 inches. Flood Warning issued April 28 at 10:23AM CDT until April 30 at 9:05AM CDT by NWS Fort Worth TX ...The National Weather Service in Fort Worth TX has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Texas... South Sulphur River Near Cooper affecting Delta and Hopkins Counties. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...South Sulphur River near Cooper. * WHEN...From this afternoon to late Tuesday morning. * IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, Moderate out of bank flooding will occur along the river reach. A few rural roads will be flooded. Moderate flooding will occur on farm and ranch land adjacent to the river. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:15 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 14.4 feet. - Bankfull stage is 16.0 feet. - Flood stage is 16.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late this afternoon to a crest of 19.5 feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below flood stage late tomorrow evening. Do not drive cars through flooded areas. Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
