Thunderstorms will develop along the foothills early this afternoon and move eastward to the Saskatchewan border by this evening. Some of these thunderstorms may become severe. The risk of severe thunderstorms will end late this evening. ### Large hail can cause significant damage and injury. Severe thunderstorm watches are issued when conditions are favourable for the development of thunderstorms capable of producing damaging hail, wind or rain.
