4. 28. du. 10:01 22:01 – 4. 29. du. 2:01 14:01

special weather statement in effect Potential for Heavy Snow Where: B.C. Peace River District, Sikanni Chief, Buckinghorse River, Highway 97 - east of Pine Pass. When: Tonight and Monday. Snowfall Accumulation: 2 to 15 cm. DIscussion: A band of heavy rain will set up over the southern Fort Nelson region tonight. This band will move into northern B.C. Peace River overnight then into southern B.C. Peace River by Monday morning. Along the eastern slopes of the Rockies, the heavy rain is expected to transition to snow due to the intensity. However, there is much uncertainty if this transition from rain to snow will extend towards the communities further away from the Rockies such as Fort St. John and Dawson Creek. Snowfall accumulation across the regions, if any, may end up being highly variable with higher accumulations more likely along the eastern slopes of the Rockies. ### Weather in the mountains can change suddenly resulting in hazardous driving conditions. Road conditions are available at https://www.drivebc.ca/. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to [email protected] or tweet reports using #BCStorm.
