winter storm watch in effect A late season winter storm has begun to impact Kinngait. A low pressure system currently over southwestern Hudson Bay will move northeastward today. Snow, strong southeasterly winds and blowing snow will spread into Kinngait today with near blizzard conditions tonight. Snowfall amounts of 10 to 20 cm are possible by storm's end on Sunday. This watch may be expanded and warnings issued as the system approaches. ### Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility in some locations. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.
