There will be large local differences in intensity. Some places will not experience any lightning. Thunderstorms can lead to locally strong wind gusts around 15-25 m/s. Locally heavy rain showers. Danger of damage to object(s) as a result of lightning strikes. The power supply and TV / internet may be affected. Hail can occur and can e.g. provide transient slippery roads. Bigger hail can cause damage, e.g. to cars and crop. Lightning strikes can cause fires in buildings or forests/vegetation. Stay up to date on the development of the weather and the weather forecast. Monitor the lightning map or weather radar on yr.no. Assess the need for preventive measures. Disconnect electrical appliances. Adjust driving speed according to the road/weather conditions. Seek shelter. Avoid open plains and large trees. Do not swim or bathe.
