Flood Advisory issued July 11 at 6:17PM CDT until July 11 at 9:30PM CDT by NWS Memphis TN * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of East Arkansas, including the following counties, Crittenden, Lee and St. Francis. * WHEN...Until 930 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 617 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... West Memphis, Forrest City, Marion, Hughes, Madison, Palestine, Memphis, Caldwell, Edmondson, Colt, Horseshoe Lake, Widener, Anthonyville, Jennette, New Home, Simsboro, Pinckney, Crittenden, Whitmore and Blackfish. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
