Mississippi River at Winfield. Mississippi River at Mel Price LD. Mississippi River at Grafton. Mississippi River near Herculaneum. Mississippi River at Chester. Mississippi River at St. Louis. Mississippi River at Alton. River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecast precipitation for the next 24 hours. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Mississippi River at St. Louis. * WHEN...From Wednesday morning to early Sunday morning. * IMPACTS...At 32.0 feet, Flood panels at Carr Street and Poplar Street are installed. Water will reach the base of the floodgates at Carr Street at 35 feet, and at Poplar Street at 36.5 feet. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 11:00 AM CDT Monday the stage was 16.3 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late Wednesday morning to a crest of 32.3 feet early Thursday afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage Friday evening. - Flood stage is 30.0 feet. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Rainfall heavier than forecast could cause river levels to rise even higher than predicted.
