Marine Weather Statement issued July 27 at 7:11PM EDT by NWS Gaylord MI At 710 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a cluster of thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 20 to 30 knots and lightning. This complex of thunderstorms was located near Beaver Island, moving northeast at 30 knots. Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until this storm passes.
