Special Weather Statement issued May 16 at 5:45PM CDT by NWS Paducah KY At 545 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Marble Hill to near Cascade to Greenville to near Hendrickson. The storms were moving northeast at 20 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Poplar Bluff, Piedmont, Marble Hill, Sam A. Baker State Park, Greenville, Lake Wappapello State Park, Williamsville, Fisk, Wappapello, Brush Arbor, Lodi, Milltown, Alliance, Cascade, Patton, Hendrickson, Leopold, Harviell, Shook, and Grassy. If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Flood Advisory issued May 16 at 5:39PM CDT until May 16 at 7:00PM CDT by NWS Paducah KY * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of southeast Missouri, including the following county, Bollinger. * WHEN...Until 700 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 538 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. If this repeats over areas having already received locally heavy rainfall, then this additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Marble Hill, Grassy, Leopold, Patton, Alliance, Sedgewickville, Zalma, and Glenallen. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
