Travel could be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. People are urged to secure loose objects that could be blown around or damaged by the wind.

Total snow accumulations between 7 and 14 inches over mountain passes, with up to 28 inches over the higher peaks. Winds could gust as high as 55 mph. * WHERE...Big Belt, Bridger and Castle Mountains and Snowy and Judith Mountains. * WHEN...From noon Tuesday to midnight MDT Wednesday Night. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Those in the backcountry should ensure they have appropriate knowledge and gear and may want to consider alternate plans. Widespread blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The combination of heavy, wet snow and strong winds could cause extensive damage to trees and power lines. If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
