Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Additional heavy showers and thunderstorms will impact the area today. Localized rain amounts of over 2 inches in an hour will be possible, leading to areas of flash flooding. Between 0.5 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1.5 to 3 inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. With high tide coming up, flooding impacts may be worse near the coast. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
