Delaware Bay... * Until 945 PM EDT. * At 820 PM EDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Worton Point to 15 nm east of Chester River, moving east at 30 knots. HAZARD...Wind gusts to 40 knots and small hail. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. * Locations impacted include... Fourteen Foot Bank Light, East Point, Bowers Beach, Woodland Beach, Stony Point, Miah Maull Light, Ship John Shoal Light, Brandywine Shoal Light, Reedy Point, Fortesque Beach, Sea Breeze, Pea Patch Island, and Cross Ledge Light. Move to safe harbor immediately as gusty winds and high waves are expected. Frequent lightning is occurring with these storms. If caught on the open water, stay below deck if possible and keep away from ungrounded metal objects. Report severe weather to the Coast Guard or the National Weather Service.
