Flood Watch issued July 10 at 11:25AM EDT until July 12 at 2:00AM EDT by NWS Wilmington OH * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...The following counties, in southeast Indiana, Ohio and Switzerland, the following counties, in Kentucky, Boone, Bracken, Campbell, Carroll, Gallatin, Grant, Kenton, Lewis, Mason, Owen, Pendleton and Robertson, and the following counties, in Ohio, Adams, Brown, Clermont, Highland, Hocking, Pike, Ross and Scioto. * WHEN...Through late Saturday night. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms are expected into Saturday night. A very moist environment will lead to heavy rainfall at times, with the greatest potential on Saturday. This could lead to flash flooding. People in the watch area, especially those living in areas prone to flooding, should be prepared to take action should flooding develop. Monitor the latest forecasts and be alert for possible flood warnings.

Flood Advisory issued July 10 at 8:16PM EDT until July 10 at 11:15PM EDT by NWS Wilmington OH * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Northern Ross County, Southern Pickaway County, and Southwestern Hocking County in Ohio. * WHEN...Until 1115 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 814 PM EDT, radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible. - Some locations that may experience flooding include... Chillicothe, Clarksburg, Kingston, Williamsport, New Holland, Hocking Hills State Park, Frankfort, Londonderry, Laurelville, Adelphi, Andersonville, Hallsville, Whisler, Mooresville, Lattaville, and Austin. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
