Flood Advisory issued September 24 at 7:53AM EDT until September 24 at 11:00AM EDT by NWS Cleveland OH * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of northeast Ohio, including the following counties, Portage, Stark and Summit. * WHEN...Until 1100 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 752 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen in the last two hours. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Akron, Canton, Cuyahoga Falls, Massillon, Barberton, Green, Tallmadge, North Canton, Louisville, Mogadore, Hartville, New Franklin, Norton, Fairlawn, Canal Fulton, Munroe Falls, Lakemore, East Canton, Clinton and Meyers Lake. - Please visit www.weather.gov/safety/flood for flood safety and preparedness information Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
