Flood Watch issued April 28 at 10:16AM CDT until April 29 at 1:00AM CDT by NWS Tulsa OK * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of Arkansas, including the following counties, Benton, Carroll, Crawford, Franklin, Madison, Sebastian and Washington AR and Oklahoma, including the following counties, Adair, Cherokee, Choctaw, Delaware, Haskell, Latimer, Le Flore, Ottawa, Pushmataha and Sequoyah. * WHEN...Through late tonight. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Shower and thunderstorm redevelopment this afternoon is expected across the watch area. Additional rainfall amounts combined with previous rainfall will maintain a flood threat through this evening. Therefore, the flood watch will now be in effect until 1 am Monday. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Flint Creek near Kansas affecting Delaware and Cherokee Counties. Illinois River near Tahlequah affecting Cherokee County. Illinois River at Chewey affecting Delaware, Cherokee and Adair Counties. * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Illinois River near Tahlequah. * WHEN...Until Wednesday morning. * IMPACTS...At 11.0 feet, minor flooding occurs from near Hanging Rock downstream towards Tahlequah. Floating the river is too hazardous due to strong turbulence. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 2:30 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 7.3 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 10.2 feet Tuesday morning. - Action stage is 9.0 feet. - Flood stage is 11.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
