Flash Flood Warning issued July 12 at 1:54AM CDT until July 12 at 5:00AM CDT by NWS Norman OK FFWOUN The National Weather Service in Norman has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for... Western Oklahoma County in central Oklahoma... * Until 500 AM CDT. * At 154 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Oklahoma City, southwestern Edmond, Bethany, Warr Acres, The Village, Nichols Hills, Forest Park, Woodlawn Park and Lake Aluma. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.

Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 115 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Up to 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
