Heat Advisory issued July 27 at 12:25PM CDT until July 28 at 7:00PM CDT by NWS Corpus Christi TX * WHAT...Heat index values up to 112 expected. * WHERE...Bee, Coastal Aransas, Coastal Calhoun, Coastal Kleberg, Coastal Nueces, Coastal Refugio, Coastal San Patricio, Duval, Goliad, Inland Calhoun, Inland Kleberg, Inland Nueces, Inland Refugio, Inland San Patricio, Jim Wells, La Salle, Live Oak, McMullen, Victoria, and Webb Counties. * WHEN...From noon to 7 PM CDT Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an emergency! Call 9 1 1. Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.

Nueces River Near Tilden affecting McMullen County. ...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Texas... Nueces River Near Three Rivers affecting Live Oak County. For the Nueces River...including Cotulla, Tilden, Three Rivers, Mathis, Bluntzer, Calallen...Major flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Major flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Nueces River near Three Rivers. * WHEN...From Wednesday afternoon until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 40.0 feet, Significant flooding reaches miles from the main channel, flooding homes in the flood plain near Three Rivers to Lake Corpus Christi. Up to 4 feet of water is in River Creek Acres Subdivision, flooding several homes. Kellner Camp along County Road 336 floods, with water several feet deep surrounding homes. Antelope Lane is flooded cutting off access to J.I. Hailey Subdivision at Jones River bend. Water approaches the base of homes along the river in Buckeye Knoll Subdivision, 2 miles west of Swinny Switch. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 2:15 PM CDT Monday the stage was 6.8 feet. - Bankfull stage is 20.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage Wednesday afternoon and continue rising to 40.3 feet early Saturday morning.
