Severe Thunderstorm Watch issued July 27 at 8:43AM CDT until July 27 at 3:00PM CDT by NWS Green Bay WI THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 519 UNTIL 3 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON WHICH REPLACES A PORTION OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 518. THE NEW WATCH IS VALID FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN WISCONSIN THE NEW WATCH INCLUDES 10 COUNTIES IN NORTH CENTRAL WISCONSIN LANGLADE LINCOLN ONEIDA VILAS IN NORTHEAST WISCONSIN FLORENCE FOREST MARINETTE MENOMINEE OCONTO SHAWANO THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF ANGELICA, ANTIGO, ARBOR VITAE, ARGONNE, ARMSTRONG CREEK, AURORA, BLACKWELL, BLOOMVILLE, BOULDER JUNCTION, BROOKSIDE, BRYANT, CAVOUR, COMMONWEALTH, CONOVER, CRANDON, DEERBROOK, DOERING, DUNBAR, ELCHO, ENTERPRISE, GLEASON, GOODMAN, GOODNOW, HARMONY, HARRISON, HILES, HOFA PARK, JEFFRIS, KEMPSTER, KESHENA, LAC DU FLAMBEAU, LAKE TOMAHAWK, LAONA, LITTLE SUAMICO, MANITOWISH WATERS, MC NAUGHTON, MERRILL, NEOPIT, NEVA, NIAGARA, OCONTO, PEMBINE, PENSAUKEE, PESHTIGO, PINE RIVER, POLAR, PORTERFIELD, PRESQUE ISLE, RHINELANDER, SHAWANO, SOBIESKI, SPREAD EAGLE, STARKS, THORNTON, WINCHESTER, AND WOODBORO.

Special Weather Statement issued July 27 at 9:13AM CDT by NWS Green Bay WI At 913 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Winchester, or 34 miles northwest of Eagle River, moving southeast at 50 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. The strong thunderstorm will be near... Winchester around 915 AM CDT. Rice Creek Natural Area around 920 AM CDT. Boulder Junction around 925 AM CDT. Johnson Lake Barrens Natural Area around 935 AM CDT. Eagle River around 955 AM CDT. Other locations impacted by this strong thunderstorm include Manitowish Waters, Van Vliet Hemlocks Natural Area, High Lake Natural Area, Nixon Lake Natural Area, Trout Lake, Sayner, Star Lake, Upper Buckatabon Springs Natural Area, St Germain and Conover. Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening weather conditions. This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio stations and available television stations for additional information and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
